Love it or hate it, conditioning is one of those things we just know is good for us. It improves our grip strength, builds strength in our muscles and makes everything else feel so much easier! I tend to do 5-10 minutes at the end of every practise and then the occasional session just conditioning (I have a love/hate relationship with these!).
Somehow I’ve had a 3 week break, ahh!
I planned two of those weeks. Christmas is my time to completely relax and see if I can eat my own body weight in chocolate (I think I nearly managed it!). I have been loving letting my body really recover. I also love to let my mind think about other things and smother myself in moisturiser!

I’ve just had 2 weeks off for Christmas so for me the new year is the perfect time to have a good look at my training routine and tweak any bad habits I’ve slipped into. I find this really helpful to do once in a while as it’s so easy to get caught up in training, especially if you practise at home, that we don’t really think about what we’re actually doing during our practise time. We all pick up bad habits over time, here are some really good habits that’ll help kick off the year!
